Leading From Behind: A Coaching Session on Conflict, Avoidance, and the Stories We Tell Ourselves

This one is for leaders who are genuinely good at what they do — emotionally intelligent, self-aware, invested in their people — and still find themselves circling the same drain.

Not the big stuff. The interpersonal friction that never quite gets addressed. The conversation that keeps getting postponed because the timing isn't right, or because you've already played out how it ends and you don't like what you see.

You know what needs to be said. You even know roughly how to say it. And yet.

In this session, we get into the psychology underneath that hesitation — the stories we write before we've even entered the room, the difference between what's actually happening and what we've decided is happening, and what it would take to become someone for whom these conversations are just... part of the job.

We also get into leading from behind, psychological safety, the origin of gaslighting, Byron Katie's The Work, and why softness isn't the opposite of strength — it's often the delivery mechanism for it.
